Who we are
Stagewise is a product operated by Hive Co LLC, a California limited liability company ("Stagewise," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use stagewise.events and our associated application (collectively, the "Service").
What we collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: name, email address, and workspace details.
- Event data you create within the Service: tasks, budgets, speakers, sponsors, schedules, documents, and attendee information.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage telemetry: pages visited, features used, and errors encountered, collected to operate and improve the Service.
- Authentication cookies and session data necessary to keep you signed in and maintain your workspace session.
- Device and browser information (type, operating system, IP address) collected as a standard part of web service operation.
Payment information:
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full payment card numbers or sensitive payment credentials. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for information on how Stripe handles your payment data.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and workspace.
- Deliver AI-assisted features you explicitly trigger within the Service.
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, workspace notifications).
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private event content to train third-party AI or machine learning models.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes:
- Authentication and session management: Required to keep you signed in and maintain your workspace session. These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.
- Product analytics: We may use cookies to understand how users navigate the Service in order to improve it.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality.
How we share your information
We do not sell your information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
Service providers:
We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including hosting and database infrastructure, AI inference providers, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers are contractually required to use your data only to provide services to us and may not use it for their own purposes.
Legal requirements:
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Stagewise, our users, or the public.
Business transfers:
If Stagewise is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
Data retention
We retain your account and event data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
Your rights
Regardless of where you are located, you may:
- Export, edit, or delete your event data directly from within the app.
- Request a copy of your personal information or deletion of your account by contacting us at hello@stagewise.events.
We will respond to requests within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA): If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
- The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@stagewise.events. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice within the Service prior to the change becoming effective. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
